Here Comes Santa Claus

Many years long ago when our children were small, my husband prepared for the job that he loved most of all.

He would iron his red suit, fluff up the white fur till he looked just right. He'd set out his wig, dust off his red hat then cleaned the old pipe.

All the children would gather around for the neighbors all knew old St. Nick was in town. Santa so jolly, appeared with a smile and he stayed till he spoke with each eager child.

In a prance, then a hop and a jolly Ho-Ho! he'd exclaim "gotta go" for the Reindeers are parked over 2 feet of snow. Out the door he would sway in a graceful ballet just dancing and prancing away.

Smiling faces would peek out the door in delight till the dancing red butterball image was plum out of sight.
