Norman is ready to convey to all who will hear... he believes in Angels. The ninety year old man tells the story as if it happened yesterday: the story of the day he was visited by a beautiful Angel. He starts by saying that it's the kind of thing, that if it happens to you, you'll treasure the memory the rest of your life.

Alva, his daughter, was 14 years old when she was stricken with Lymphoma Cancer. The year followed with a series of tests and frequent hospital stays. The doctors offered no hope... the prognosis was that the cancer was now in its terminal stages. The medical advances at the time, were such that no solution was available. It was inevitable that Alva would die a year later.

Norman and his wife Mary were devastated by the loss of their young daughter. Nothing seemed the same. There was an emptiness that nothing or no one could appease. Six months dragged by, with no hope to mend their broken hearts.

Mary went to visit a neighbor one day, just to get out of the house, in an effort to forget her sorrow. Norman stayed at home and while still in his mournful state he sought comfort in his daughters room. Her things were as she had left them. He felt a lump in his throat as a tear brushed his face. He held his daughter's picture, gazing at it, as if trying to memorize her face. It was then that a cool peacefulness engulfed him.

A resplendent white light came from within the walls and Norman stood in awe, mesmerized by the beautiful face of the Angelic transfiguration before him. The Angel spoke, saying "Grieve no more, your child is in heaven. She is where there is more suffering and pain". The glowing white light vanished through the wall, like silver dust.

Norman quickly related his experience to his wife Mary. From that day on, the mournful trauma began to subside. Norman and Mary surely still missed their daughter Alva, but the beautiful apparition of Glory's Angel was such a blessing, that they were able to bring closure to their grief.
