Down in the trenches and the mud you brought out freedom with your blood. And the soldier marched through the bombs ablast till we heard the victors cry. To a far away land you went to die.

Through the anquish in the light of day, enduring the abscure and drear of night... for our cause you fought the fight.

Countless tears were shed galant soldier had to fall that our prize be... freedoms call.
